This patient underwent surgical excision of a skin lesion performed by another surgeon. He subsequently developed a notched scar along the right alar rim (nostril rim) that brought obvious unwanted attention to the area. Dr. Hilinski performed excisional scar revision that included wedge resection of the nostril rim and careful realignment of the edges. This is actually a very difficult procedure to perform, as recreation of the natural arch is quite challenging. Notice well-healed scar after revision with less disruption of the normal alar rim contour.
