Improved Vision From Eyelid Plastic Surgery

This is another example of how upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) can be used to help improve one’s vision. This very pleasant lady from San Diego presented to my office noting trouble with her peripheral vision. As you can see, she had a significant amount of excess, heavy skin that was weighing her upper eyelids down – contributing to the obstructed vision. I performed an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift, on her to take away the excess weighted skin. As you can see, she now looks much more rested while still looking quite natural. More importantly, her vision has been markedly increased now that the heavy excess upper eyelid skin has been removed. Let us know what you think of her results!
