The Refirme Skin Tightening procedure is a non-invasive, office-based procedure which uses Syneron Elos technology to firm, tighten and tone the skin with no downtime. This procedure relies on a unique combination of technologies patented by Syneron which includes radiofrequency (RF) and a diode laser energy. This combination allows the deeper layers of the skin to be stimulated, resulting in an immediate tightening and lifting of the skin, while leaving the surface layer of the skin untouched. Because the surface skin is untouched, there is no downtime after the Refirme treatment. Furthermore, patients will experience continued improvement in the following weeks to months after treatment as the collagen undergoes additional remodeling.

Good candidates for the Refirme Skin Tightening procedure include men and women who are looking to rejuvenate and improve signs of aging, such as sagging and/or poorly toned skin, through a non-invasive method of lifting. The procedure is performed in Dr. Hilinski’s office and can take upwards of forty-five to sixty minutes for a full-face treatment. Though patients may feel some mild heat sensations as the Refirme Skin Tightening device is applied to the skin, anesthesia is not necessary. There is no downtime after the Refirme treatment and patients can immediately return to work and other normal activities, though aerobic exercise should be postponed for about twenty-four hours. There are few risks associated with treatment. In rare cases, excess heat accumulating in one or more areas of tissue may result in a brief down period or recovery.
