This is an example of nasal reconstruction using a composite graft taken from the patient’s ear to repair a defect that arose after having MOHS skin cancer surgery. As you can see, she has a full thickness defect where her nose is missing tissue along the nostril arch. I ended up using a composite ear graft – skin, soft tissue and cartilage combined – to help restore a more normal and natural contour.
