Helping to improve acne scarring can be incredibly challenging and often requires a multi-modality approach as is shown here. This patient was bothered by her deep acne scars around the mouth and jawline. I ended up performing Bellafill injections to first help give a bit more soft tissue support under the scars. We then performed a croton chemical peel to help improve the skin appearance. As you can see here, there is an obvious improvement with much less unwanted attention being drawn to the area. Is it perfect skin? No. But patients with severe acne scarring like this need to be realistic and adjust their expectations.
