Preparing for Pix:E

Your consultation with one of our experienced providers is key to feeling well-prepared for your Pix:E treatment. Here, your skin will be evaluated and you will learn more about the benefits of Pix:E for your specific concerns and goals. You’ll receive clear expectations for the treatment experience as well as aftercare steps you can take to achieve the best results.

Pix:E Treatment

30-40 minutes before your Pix:E treatment begins, your skin will be numbed with an anesthetic cream to enhance your comfort. The length of treatment depends upon the number and size of the areas treated, and may take up to 60 minutes.

Pix:E Recovery & Results

Little to no downtime is needed after Pix:E. Your skin may appear red and may feel as if you have a sunburn, but this will naturally ease within 24-48 hours. Your provider will encourage you to use an emollient such as Aquaphor a few times a day to moisturize and protect your skin.

Is Pix:E painful?

We will apply a topical numbing cream to your skin before your Pix:E treatment. You may feel sensations of heat and some discomfort, but treatment should not be painful.

How many treatments will I need?

You will see an improvement in the appearance and firmness of your skin after a single Pix:E treatment. We recommend 3-4 treatments, spaced a few weeks apart, for optimal results. Our patients with pronounced acne scarring or other concerns may opt for additional treatments.
