This is an example of a somewhat rare chin implant placement. This Asian patient from San Diego desired a chin implant to augment the pre jowl area on both sides – not to project the chin outward any further. This was accomplished with a Mittelman Prejowl Chin Implant by Implantech. This implant was specifically designed to augment the chin in the pre jowl zone only – indicated by the red arrows on her preoperative view. There was no augmentation along the front-center part of the chin. Following the surgery, she did undergo some additional injections with Bellafill to provide even more symmetry. But the end result shows what a nice improvement can be seen with a smoother jawline.
