This is an example of ear reconstruction to address an abnormal notched contour along this male patient’s auricle. The surgery was done under local anesthesia and involved moving the tissue around in the adjacent area to try and recreate a more natural looking external ear. As you can see, he now has a much more acceptable appearance following surgery.
