The Silhouette InstaLift utilizes a revolutionary ‘micro-suspension’ cone technology to help reposition and secure the soft tissues of your face and/or neck. By carefully threading these temporary sutures under the skin, the specially designed cones help ‘grab’ onto the surrounding soft tissues and provide an immediate lifting effect.
The actual threads and cones are made of the same suture material plastic surgeons use everyday during cosmetic procedures. Eventually, the suture material gradually gets absorbed by the body over a 6-9 month period. As your body heals around the threads and cones as it activates the natural collagen production pathways that further contribute to a more youthful and refreshed appearance.2
Candidates For Silhouette InstaLift
The best candidates for InstaLift are those seeking a non-surgical treatment option for unwanted sagging and/or visible signs of aging in the cheeks, jowls or neck line. Ideal candidates are men and women who have healthy skin. Silhouette InstaLift is not appropriate for those with very thin facial skin, or excessively heavy skin due to advanced aging.3

We’ll work with you to develop a treatment plan which will include the number threads required to achieve your desired result. For example, some patients will only need four InstaLift threads to help lift their cheek and jowl while others might require eight threads to achieve a similar cosmetic enhancement.
Silhouette InstaLift Treatment
The entire treatment is done in the office setting using just local anesthesia. Meaning, you don’t have to be put to sleep to have the Silhouette InstaLift! The procedure takes about 45 minutes to one hour to complete depending on the number of threads placed.
Silhouette InstaLift Recovery
Immediately after your InstaLift treatment, we’ll provide you with cold packs to apply to the skin. Most InstaLift patients will experience mild bruising and swelling while some will also note some redness around the insertion sites. In a great majority of patients, non-narcotic medication is sufficient to control the minor discomfort associated with the lift procedure. It’s best to avoid makeup for at least one day, sleep on your back for at least three nights, and refrain from washing or rubbing your face aggressively.

What’s the difference between InstaLift and PDO Threads?
PDO threads and Silhouette InstaLift are both used to lift and tighten facial tissue using biocompatible sutures. The main difference is in the shape of the sutures; whereas PDO threads can be barbed, smooth, or curved, InstaLift threads are interspersed with microscopic cones which grab more tissue and provide more of a lifting effect than PDO threads.
Is InstaLift Safe?
Yes, in fact InstaLift is the only absorbable suture for cosmetic facial treatments that is FDA-cleared.
